As a private doctor, I have ample time for you to thoroughly take your medical history and conduct a detailed clinical examination. My ongoing work at the Vienna University Clinic also enables me to care for my patients in my practice according to the latest scientific findings.
Throughout my career, I have gained experience through my work in neurological acute and emergency medicine, the specialized outpatient clinic for movement disorders, inpatient care, and electrodiagnostic testing (NCS, EMG).

Office hours are flexible. An initial consultation typically lasts 45-60 minutes, while follow-up appointments are usually sufficient for up to 30 minutes.

Areas of Focus
In my practice, I offer comprehensive assessment of all neurological conditions. However, my main focus is on movement disorders. This encompasses a wide range of diseases characterized by either excessive movement (such as chorea and choreiform movements) or reduced movement (Parkinson's disease and similar Parkinson syndromes).
My areas of expertise include:
- Parkinson's disease and atypical Parkinson syndromes (progressive supranuclear palsy, corticobasal syndrome, multiple system atrophy)
- Huntington's chorea and other choreiform movements
- Ataxias
- Neurometabolic diseases (rare vitamin deficiency syndromes, congenital metabolic disorders, rare diseases of the white matter of the brain) - Evaluation of complex neurogenetic diseases
In my clinical and scientific work as a specialist in neurology at the Medical University of Vienna / AKH, I offer my patients professional advice on all aspects of their condition based on the current state of science. Upon request, I am also happy to provide information about current scientific projects and clinical studies.

SCIENTIFIC FOCUS
My scientific work primarily focuses on the biochemical foundations of neurological disorders such as Parkinson's disease, atypical Parkinson syndromes, and ataxias. For example, I aim to understand the reasons behind protein misfolding in the human brain, which underlie various diseases. You can find a detailed list of my publications here.
